Shoe Redesign with Sharpie

Black is black.  But I sometimes felt like the black on my black wedges were just blah!  They did nothing for my feet.  I felt like without the 4-inch wedge heel, it could easily be a nun's sandals.

I saw sometime ago on Pinterest(which I have deactivated - cold turkey - because I was getting unhealthily addicted to it) how a Sharpie was used to decorate a mug.  I had plenty of time at work because I had to wait for an hour and half to upload my files.  So I thought about grabbing some Sharpies and using it on these particularly drab wedges.  Here is the outcome.

Aztec prints on a dull pair of black sandals with the help of Sharpies!

  1. Great job! Will it stay on or do you have to add something to protect it from coming off?

    1. Hello, Ebony in the Raw. You know what? I was thinking of adding a coat of varnish as we've been getting heavy rains in our place lately. But I haven't quite done it yet. And I've probably worn this pair more than a couple of times since, twice with heavy rain, and the the design hasn't come off. I'll probably add that layer of varnish when the design starts fading.
